Moissanite
The price of moissanite depends on its size and type and costs only a fraction of the price of a natural or synthetic diamond.
For our jewelry we use only high purity moissanite crystals with excellent cut of color grades D, E and F. Moissanite from 0.5 carat always have a certificate of the Gemological Research Academy (GRA). The GRA certificates are based on the 4C scale of the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Moissanite is the second hardest stone in the world after diamond. Although moissanite has a slightly lower hardness than diamond, it is thermally more stable in air (up to 1127 °C, diamond only up to 837 °C) and significantly cheaper to produce. Moissanite suitable for jewelry does not actually occur in nature, so it is produced synthetically in the laboratory for jewelry purposes. Synthetically produced moissanite is thus not mined in the landscape and therefore does not pollute the environment through mining. Moissanite has greater and better brilliance than a diamond and the typical fiery rainbow flashes are often admired ("Disco Bowl"). The larger the stone, the more noticeable the difference in brilliance between the moissanite and the diamond.
